SOLAR - Staff Opportunity for Learning, Accreditation and Recognition - route to Advance HE Fellowship
The SOLAR programme provides a CPD route to gaining fellowship with advanced HE, from Associate Fellow through to Principal Fellow.
Important notice:
As a result of the recent merger between City, University of London and St George’s, University of London, we now have a new Advance HE Professional Recognition Scheme (Fellowship Scheme) for City St George’s, University of London - SOLAR.
The SOLAR scheme is similar to the legacy Tooting and Clerkenwell Fellowship schemes SHINE and RISES.
City St Georges SOLAR programme ( formally known as RISES/SHINE ) offers you an opportunity to gain recognition as Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow of Advance HE. These awards demonstrate a commitment to teaching and learning and are increasingly sought by employers across the education sector as a condition of appointment and promotion.
SOLAR is open to you if you are a full or part time academic or professional services staff member at City St Georges and your role includes learning and teaching or supporting learning and teaching.
You will be allocated a mentor to prepare a written application mapping your practice against the dimensions of Advance HE Professional Standards Framework (PSF2023)
Please be aware that participation and outcomes relating to the SOLAR scheme will be provided to the School Deans in order that they may celebrate success. Data will be processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the University's privacy notices and your information rights are not affected.
