    A variety of services and support networks are available at City University London, to complement the Personal Tutoring System.

    Support with Personal Issues

    The university has a number of student services available to help with any personal circumstances or problems that may affect studies.

    Health

    Student Health Service

    The Student Health Service is committed to the general well-being of students. The nurse advisor is available for advice on minor illnesses, accidents and general advice on health matters.

    Accommodation

    The Accommodation team

    The Accommodation team is based in the Student Centre and handles all applications to City's nominated Halls of Residence. It also assists students with sourcing private accommodation in London.

    Counselling and mental health

    Student Counselling and Mental Health Service

    The Student Counselling & Mental Health Service is an accessible, free of charge service for all City students. Here you can talk about anything that is troubling you with a professional and experienced member of the team who is sensitive to the needs of all students.

    Student Funding and financial support

    The Financial Support team are based in the Student Centre and are available to help you with any matter relating to student funding. If you require in-person advice or help, drop-in sessions are on Mondays and Thursdays 14:00-15:30 and booked appointments are on Tuesdays and Fridays 10:00-12:00.

    Chaplaincy and faith support

    Chaplaincy and Faith Advisory Team

    The Chaplaincy and Faith Advisory team supports people of all faiths and those of no faith. City can help to facilitate your religious practices by providing prayer rooms and other support.

    Help for care-experienced, young estranged and young adult carer

    Support for care-experienced, young estranged and young adult carer students

    City Cares is City’s dedicated programme of support for care-experienced, young estranged adults and young adult carer students. A designated member of staff (DMS) is on-hand to provide pastoral, financial and educational support. They can advocate on the student’s behalf, liaise with schools and both internal and external support services. Undergraduate students may also be entitled to additional financial support while at City, in the form of bursaries and hardship funds.

    Advice on appeals, extenuating circumstances or complaints

    City University London Students' Union

    The Students' Union offers impartial, independent advice on academic appeals, extenuating circumstances and complaints. Their service is run by advisers who are trained and experienced in dealing with the academic procedures of the University.

    If you are not sure what to do in relation to something in your Academic life, or if you want to use a particular procedure but are not sure how to go about it and maximise your chances of success, the Students' Union is there to help you.
